Friday 25 June 2010

LABfactory (Praterstrasse 42/1/3), 1020 Wien, Austria

U1 Nestroyplatz

Free entry / Eintritt frei

trackings is a performance about travelling, searching, remembering, imagining, and trying to locate”home” in a foreign city – what makes ”a home”, is it a mental state or a physical place, memories attached to material objects and events, or perhaps all of these?

Basing on my experiences as a foreigner living in London, on mundane activities such as eating and getting around in the city, trackings interweaves autobiography and fiction, reality that could be fiction and fiction that could be reality.

trackings premiered in London in May 2009 as part of the “MA(y) Festival” and has been performed in Helsinki and Espoo, Finland. The 30 min performance will be followed by a discussion and a scratch performance “trackings-Wien”.

”– I am intrigued, full of willingness to have this trackings impressed on me, I wonder where it’s all going, and where I become a little lost at times, and then there is a reorientation. I don’t think it matters that I am lost, the stories and fragments, the drawing, the apple bites built an intricate series of moments and images for me to alight and move on and way from. My tracking within your schema. –”
