EIN.KÜCHEN.BAU presentation at the symposium “k/m/eine Küche” on 21.01. in Vienna

It’s an honour for us to hold a lecture presentation about our performance/installation EIN.KÜCHEN.BAU (2012-2013) at the annual Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky symposium in Vienna on Thursday 21 January, organised by Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky Club. Other speakers include e.g. Prof. Elke Krasny and Dipl.Ing. Christine Zwingl. Schütte-Lihotzky was the first female architect in Austria and the inventor of the “Frankfurt Kitchen” (1926), the forerunner of all modern and contemporary fitted kitchens. You are very welcome to join us — the symposium will be held in German.

About Joonas Lahtinen

Joonas Lahtinen (* 1984, FIN/A) is a performance artist, director and researcher who lives and works in Vienna and Helsinki. His performances are often site-specific and have a strong installational character. In his works, he explores the politics of space and of the everyday from perspectives that are both humorous and disturbing. Joonas has studied Performance at Queen Mary, University of London and he is writing a PhD thesis about the problematic of “emancipatory” participative art at the University of Helsinki. Since 1995, he has performed in various Live Art, theatre and TV productions both in Finland and abroad.
